ANTHROAPOLOGY
As an act of decolonisation, I have reimagined the voices of erased identities of Ceylonese people.




THE PRINCESS
The Rodhiya caste was a caste of Ceylonese people who were considered 'untouchable'. They were the most oppressed caste of people during colonial rule. The women were banned from covering their chests.

X-PRESS PEARL
The X-press pearl was a shipping vessel that docked off the shores of Sri Lanka, where it later caught on fire. This had disastrous ramifications on the surrounding ocean and marine life. Thousands of plastic pellets, known as nurdles, littered our shores.
